  Entrepreneurship isn’t just a career; it is all about the journey you go through and all the various skills and other things you learn along the way. It is a common practice to go from company to company to learn from others and develop your own skills and to understand more fully what it is in life that you want to accomplish. Throughout this process people usually realize what kind of business they want to create and how it will affect the world. Randy Haykin is a prime example of this process, he first started at a larger company and learned and grew his knowledge as well as grew the other people he knew that were on similar paths. This helped him to realize what he wanted and helped him throughout his journey of building up his own business. This is a big thing that I learned this week.   The article written by Handy goes over many things of a business such as virtue and integrity as well as real justification and how it comes into play within the business world and how it applies to individuals and companies. Virtue and integrity are essential to an economy because markets rely on rules and laws. These rules and laws, in turn, depend on truth and trust. If truth is concealed or trust is eroded, the reliability of the market diminishes. The article suggests that if businesses sacrifice truth or erode trust, markets may empty, share prices may collapse, and people may seek alternative places to invest their money. In this context, virtue and integrity contribute to the stability and functioning of the economic system.   Money, an ever-present force in our lives, holds the potential to shape not only our financial status but also our overall well-being. Reflecting on my attitude towards money prompts introspection into the values and beliefs that guide my financial decisions. Personally, my attitude toward money is one of balance.              As always, this week has continued to be a great chance to learn spiritually and temporally. I continued to learn spiritually with the learning more about how important the Gift of the Holy Ghost is to each one of us as well as learning more about how we as followers and disciples of Jesus Christ need to spend more time within the scriptures and study more in depth the things of the Gospel. Temporally the thing that had the most impact to me this week is remembering and realizing that dreams are good, and they keep us in check of where we are and what we need to do now. The biggest key takeaways from this week are that we need to continue to do work on this side of the veil as well as the other side, that we all need to strive to have charity in our lives, and that we all have strengths and weaknesses. Doing work on this side of the veil is very important and easy to do, it consists of just being a disciple of Jesus Christ and showing that to others. We don't need to do any fancy or elaborate thing to do work on this side, we just need to follow the teachings of the Savior and emulate him as best as we can. If we do this then others around us will see the big impact the Savior has in our lives but they will also strive to become like you because that is what the Savior does. He draws people in through his loving kindness which will radiate off of you.  This week was quite a spiritually uplifting week. I leaned quite a lot about gifts and skills, about gifts of the spirit, and more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how it more fully applies to us. Before we came to this Earth we were preparing to come here, we prepared by picking specific skills and gifts that would help us in our life and we improved upon them. The part that was most impactful to me was the fact that while we are here one Earth we must find, identify, and master those gifts that we took time to learn before this world. It is daunting to know that we prepared specific skills for this life, knowing that gives me more motivation to find them and hone them as best as I can. When we talk about gifts of the Spirit, they are gifts that are only beneficial to us while we are here on this Earth. Be proactive Begin with the end in mind put first things first think win/win seek first to understand then to be understood synergize sharper the saw The ones that we most impactful to me was number 2, 3, and 5. I really enjoyed when it talked about put first things first. It categorized what you need to do and the order you need to do things into 4 different categories. It goes, important and urgent, then important but non urgent, then urgent but not important, then the last one was not urgent and not important. It talked about how we want to mostly stay in the second category because we don't want to have to do things when they are only urgent but we should do things that are important and non urgent then most of the time we won't have to deal with beating the clock.  This week was a great week to learn about what it takes to be an entrepreneur. How to keep your life aligned with God while keeping in the route of an entrepreneur. The path of the entrepreneur isn't for everyone. To be an entrepreneur you have to have a determined mind, ambition, and the ability to get up when you fall and you will fall. This life is not an easy one because the whole world will be against you. Whether you start up your own business or join one that is already part way built, you will face trials, setbacks, and almost anything that you think will go wrong can go wrong. You have to be able to face these facts and not let them tear you down but help you to be more successful. When you pick this route you need to remember who the main person in your life that has helped you all the way.  The hero's journey was quite an informative talk. One of the biggest things that hit is the fact that the hero's journey is all about you but not about you at all. In the end of this life there are three great questions that are very important and that is have I contributed something meaningful, am I a good person, and who did I love and who loved me. In the end we don't want our lives to be pointless, the point of being on this earth is to grow and learn but that isn't a journey just for yourself. It is a journey that you take with everyone else in this world, we need to make a difference not only in our own lives but in the lives of those we know and those that we don't know.  October 1st-7th This week has been a good week of learning! I learned quite a lot from my classes as well as the individual experience that I went through. I also had the great opportunity to listen and go to General Conference in Salt Lake City and received and learned very important lessons and things I need to continually work on in my life. From general conference I learned quite a few things. Such as the fact that if you want to grow faith or have faith at all then you will need to give forth energy. You can't expect your faith to stay how strong it is or to grow at all if you aren't willing to put forth some energy and dig deep into the gospel. Another thing that stuck with me was that we need to constantly be writing in the fleshy tables of our hearts. We need to continually nourish our testimony and truly take what we learn to heart.  September 24th-30th This week was a good week with learning about things that are right and things that are wrong. In two of my classes we focused on morals and ethics and how it applies not only to how businesses act but how it applies to us in our daily lives. It's helped me realize what things I should and can be lenient with in my life and other situation's and things that I have to be strict with so that I'm able to stay within my own ethics. Another thing that I learned from this week is that the Lord sometimes makes it very obvious with what he wants you to do. He may put the same person in your path everyday until you talk to them, you may repeatedly see the same things that the Lord wants you to look into or he may continue to give you the same impression over and over again until you act on it.  Sept 18th-24th 2023 - From the video of Randy Pausch I think that he was able to achieve his dreams is because he did not doubt himself. When he came to the brick wall which he expressed how he did, he didn't take it as him not being able to accomplish his goals. He took it as an opportunity to show his trials, people, future jobs just how much his dreams mean to him. How he can and will do whatever it takes to get over the wall that is there so see who is really willing to go the extra mile. -I personally have always thought that dreaming is important.  September 11th-17th 2023 What I've learned - the dress and grooming was changed because it was what the lord wanted at this time -it's okay to not know where you are going with your career - no matter what I am not at my finished product, I need to keep taking the opportunities to invest into myself.
