This week was a good week with learning about things that are right and things that are wrong. In two of my classes we focused on morals and ethics and how it applies not only to how businesses act but how it applies to us in our daily lives. It's helped me realize what things I should and can be lenient with in my life and other situation's and things that I have to be strict with so that I'm able to stay within my own ethics. Another thing that I learned from this week is that the Lord sometimes makes it very obvious with what he wants you to do. He may put the same person in your path everyday until you talk to them, you may repeatedly see the same things that the Lord wants you to look into or he may continue to give you the same impression over and over again until you act on it.

From this weeks readings and videos, the most important thing that I took away from it was that we should never bend or break or compromise our own integrity. Integrity is a very important attribute that we need to always strive to have. The Lord has shown us very well what integrity is and how it not only helps us in the long run but it's also a good example to other with how they should conduct their life.

For the rest of the semester, I'm looking forward to seeing how I can apply my ethics more fully to my life and schoolwork. After making a ethics page for myself, I printed it out and put it up in my room so that I'm able to remember what standards I'm holding myself to and what standards the Lord has set before me.

December 4th-10th

  Entrepreneurship isn’t just a career; it is all about the journey you go through and all the various skills and other things you learn along the way. It is a common practice to go from company to company to learn from others and develop your own skills and to understand more fully what it is in life that you want to accomplish. Throughout this process people usually realize what kind of business they want to create and how it will affect the world. Randy Haykin is a prime example of this process, he first started at a larger company and learned and grew his knowledge as well as grew the other people he knew that were on similar paths. This helped him to realize what he wanted and helped him throughout his journey of building up his own business. This is a big thing that I learned this week.
